Important Information
The gates will open from 8:30am. The class register will be taken at 8:45am and learning will begin immediately after this. It is vital that pupils are on time to school so that they do not miss any important learning.
Pupils should bring to school each day:
- A water bottle with their name on
- Suitable clothing for the weather to ensure they are comfortable during outdoor break times
- A packed lunch (if required)
- Children can being in their own healthy snacks for play time
Pupils are to be collected from school at 3:15pm
P.E. and Swimming
- 4 Pine have outdoor P.E. every Tuesday and Wednesday
- 4 Ash have outdoor P.E. every Tuesday and swimming every Wednesday
- Children should come to School in their P.E kits. Jewellery and watches must be removed for P.E and Swimming lessons

Homework is given out every Friday and is due back the following week. Homework is optional to complete
Multiplication
Children in year 4 should know all of their times tables (up to 12 x 12) in preparation for the multiplication in the summer term. We will practise these in class and it would be beneficial for children to practise these at home. Children should be able to answer each question within 6 seconds.
Class dojo will be used to pass on messages and information so please ensure that you have access to this
Key Dates
Monday 10th November
Odd Sock Day - A day for all children to come to school in odd socks to stand up against bullying and discrimination.
Tuesday 11th November
Yr 4 trip to the Ewden Water Treatment Works - 4 Pine will go first in the morning. 4 Ash will go in the afternoon.
Parents Evening - Running from 3:15 - 6pm

Parents Evening - Running from 3:15 - 6pm
Friday 14th November
Children In Need - Children can wear Pudsey ears, a yellow or spotty item and make a small donation for children in need. Children must wear uniform with a yellow accessory. This is not a full non-uniform day.
Monday 1st December
Christmas Decoration Day - An off-timetable day where children create christmas tree decorations to hang on the school Christmas tree
Thursday 11th December
Christmas Dinner - Our school Christmas Dinner! Any child who has a packed lunch and wants to have a Christmas dinner on this day, please choose the meal on Arbor or let the office know before 1st December.
Monday 15th December
KS2 Carol Concert - Join our Year 3, 4 and 5 children in the playground from 2:30pm where they will sing Christmas Carols under the canopy.
Thursday 18th December
Class Christmas Parties - All children can wear non-uniform for the last day of term! Children will also be having a class party.
Last Day of Term - School finishes at 3:15pm and reopens on Monday 5th January
This half term we will be learning...
- In English we will be looking at how to write a setting description and an explanation piece.
- In Maths our focus will be around Multiplication and Division. We will also be focusing on preparing for our multiplication check by refining our multiplication skills.
- In Science we are looking at Sound
- In Geography we are learning about Rivers
- In PSHE our Pol Ed focus is 'understanding children's rights'. In My happy mind we will be focusing on the 'Celebrate' module
- In R.E we are learning about Judaism
