We will then write a poem about 'If I were in charge of the world'. In this unit we can really use our imagination.
Maths
Our Maths curriculum follows the White Rose Maths scheme, which is designed to help children develop a deep understanding of key mathematical concepts.

We have a busy half term looking at addition and subtraction and shape.
Science
This half term our topic is titled 'Animals including humans'. We will be looking at offspring and what they need to survive. We will also look at what it means to be healthy including our diet.
Geography
This half term our topic is 'Our town'.
We will consolidate our knowledge from year 1 about the 4 countries that make up the United Kingdom and the Continents. We will also look at the human and physical features of Huddersfield and how important it is to respect our planet.
Art
In Art, we are focusing on drawing skills and illustrations. We we also learn about local artist called Roger Davies, and have a visit from him.
PSHE
In PSHE, we use the My Happy Mind curriculum. This half term we will be focusing on the unit 'Meet My Brain'. Children will follow a series of lessons and activities, whilst filling in their My Happy Mind Journals along the way.
RE
